Worms or bokashi — pick one
Two no-garden compost systems work indoors or on a small balcony:
WORMERY (vermicompost) — a stacked plastic bin holds red wriggler worms that eat fruit and veg scraps. Smell: none, if done right. Output: rich compost and a liquid 'worm tea' that's superb for plants.
BOKASHI — sealed Japanese-style bucket with a bran inoculant that ferments waste in 2 weeks. Smell: pickled, not rotten. Output: fermented mass to dig into soil or add to a community compost scheme.
Both fit on a 60 × 40 cm balcony corner.
