Editing and Enhancing Content

Shape recorded material into a clear, coherent production using purposeful selection, pacing, continuity, sound, colour, titles and careful review.

Organise before editing

Editing begins with reliable organisation. Copy media into a clear folder structure and create a backup before changing or deleting files. Separate video, audio, photographs, graphics, music and project files where appropriate. Use file names that help identify the production, date, location, contributor or take. Consistent organisation reduces the risk of using the wrong version or losing important material.
