EU funding for social enterprises

The main funding streams a social enterprise can target.

InvestEU, ESF+, and Single Market

Major EU streams relevant to social enterprises:

• InvestEU Social Investment & Skills Window — backs social-impact loans via national intermediaries. • ESF+ — co-funds social inclusion projects through national managing authorities. • Single Market Programme (SMP) — supports SME competitiveness, including social enterprises. • Erasmus+ — co-funds learning and mobility projects. • Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) — for civil society organisations defending EU values.

Most can't be applied for directly by the social enterprise — you go through your country's intermediary. National Social Economy contact points list current calls.
