Free-to-use European music libraries

Where to find safe, legal background music for community videos.

Three sources, zero lawyers

For community videos and podcasts that need music without licensing headaches:

• FREE MUSIC ARCHIVE (freemusicarchive.org) — huge catalogue, many Creative Commons. • EU SOUND — a project of Europeana with public-domain recordings. • YOUTUBE AUDIO LIBRARY — free music and sound effects, usable beyond YouTube.

Always CHECK THE LICENCE on the individual track: CC0 (no credit needed), CC-BY (credit needed), CC-BY-NC (no commercial use). Credit the artist in your video description — it costs you nothing and helps them.
