Lifelong learning under the EU agenda

Why the EU is investing in learning that doesn't stop after school.

Adults learning, by 2030

The European Skills Agenda commits to: 60% of adults participating in training every year by 2030 (the baseline was 37% in 2016). It also created the Pact for Skills, EuroSkills competitions, and the Individual Learning Account principle — every adult should have a personal training budget regardless of employer.

For community educators this means more funding streams: ESF+, Erasmus+ for Adult Education, and national counterparts. Small adult-ed providers can join the Erasmus+ Adult Education accreditation — once accredited, applying for projects becomes much simpler year on year.
