Local radio: pitching a slot

How to get your community story on local or community radio in three emails.

Speak their language

Community radio stations across Europe (Radia, AMARC-Europe, your country's network) crave good local content — and have small teams. Help them help you:

Email 1: subject line = 'Pitch: <one-sentence story>'. Body = three short paragraphs and the audio length you're proposing (e.g. 4-minute feature, 90-second voice piece).

If they bite, Email 2 confirms the date and what they need (interviewee, music clearance).

Email 3 thanks them and shares the broadcast on socials — driving listeners back to the station.
