Recognised across borders
In 2022 the EU adopted a Council Recommendation on microcredentials: short, focused certificates of learning achievement, with a common structure across the bloc. Every microcredential should specify:
• Title and provider. • Learning outcomes and assessment method. • Notional workload (in hours or ECTS). • Quality assurance. • A QR / link to a verification page.
For community education providers, this matters because adult learning achievements — including from informal providers — can now be recognised on a common standard. EANE certificates follow this template by design.
