Keep attention on the contributor
In an off-camera interview, the interviewer is positioned close to the camera but remains outside the shot. The contributor normally looks at the interviewer rather than directly into the lens. This creates a natural conversational eye line while allowing the finished image to concentrate on the person telling the story.
