Make your phone feel like a camera

Professional mobile creators do not need expensive equipment to film well. They use their smartphone carefully, with attention to framing, stability and purpose. Before recording, clean the lens, check your battery and decide whether vertical or horizontal video fits where you will publish.

Frame with intention

Turn on the camera grid and place important subjects near the grid lines. Leave a little space above a person's head, avoid cutting off hands during demonstrations and check the background for distractions. A tidy frame helps viewers focus on your message.

Keep your shots steady

Shaky footage quickly feels amateur. Hold the phone with two hands, tuck your elbows close to your body or rest the phone against a wall, table or railing. When moving, walk slowly and keep your knees soft so the camera does not bounce.

Use different shot types

Record a mix of wide shots, medium shots and close-ups. A wide shot shows the setting, a medium shot shows the main action and a close-up shows detail. This gives you more options when editing and makes your final video feel more dynamic.

Before filming, remember: clean lens, steady hands, clear frame and varied shots. These basics improve almost every smartphone video.
