Time accounting and non-monetary value

Counting what matters beyond cash.

Hours, not euros

Mission-driven organisations frequently undercount what they actually do because money is the default measure. Time accounting records:

• Volunteer hours (multiplied by a 'social wage' rate — typically the country's median hourly wage). • Pro-bono services received. • In-kind contributions (donated venue, materials).

Reported alongside cash income, this gives a far truer picture of organisational resource. Funders increasingly expect it. Try the free EU-funded 'SROI' lite calculators or simple spreadsheets — start now, the longitudinal data will be invaluable.
