Plan it from the start

If your audience speaks more than one language, plan for it from day one:

• PRINT all key materials in two languages, side-by-side rather than separate sheets. • VISUAL CUES — pictograms reduce the need to translate everything. • LIVE INTERPRETATION — even a volunteer whispering translates to a small group transforms inclusion. For larger events, free apps (Wordly, Microsoft Translator) provide live captions in 100+ languages. • ASK people which language they're most comfortable speaking. Don't assume.
